For the past few years we have all seen the benefits of the application of Magnesium Chloride. It not only eliminates the horrible dust clouds that many members along the roadway have to contend with, but it also hardens the road surface. For many it has been “Life Changing” . Because of allergies and the overall benefits that it provides the board has passed a motion to continue to apply the application each year until the roads have soaked up enough to no longer need it.

As one of the few people that work on the roads, both summer and winter. Jason and I both agree that it has made a huge difference in the well being of our roads especially after heavy winter snowfall like the past few years. In my opinion the roads in the association are in the best shape they have ever been. Especially when you think of the amount of traffic we currently have and which only will increase in the future. To keep the costs down the plan will be that we do the lower half of the association one year and the upper and outer half on the second year. That way we can get all of the association covered every other year. This years application covered about 90% of association roads.instead of just doing the upper half.. The reason for that was due the amount of repairs that was needed to be done on the water system which I’m sure many of you noticed.

We would like to remind you that after it has been applied, drive slower than normal until it dries and make sure you spray off your vehicles . Magnesium Chloride is high in salt and will corrode the metal of your vehicle if it is not sprayed off.
